Introduction

An Early Start

As a kid, my favorite toys were the ones that gave me lots of room to be creative.
My most favorite toy of all-time would have to be my Fashion Plates.
The combinations were endless! (Not really once I started losing the plates one-by-one, but you get the point)

I would sit for hours changing the hat or just the shirt or adding new boots.
Then, I could make a rubbing of my design to add to my "fashion portfolio."

Connection to Technology?

Oddly, my fascination with Fashion Plates correlates directly with my love of teaching Technology Applications/Engineering/Robotics.  Now, instead of switching out super cool accessories, shirts and skirts to create the perfect outfit, I get to play with new technologies, match them with different pedagogical approaches and  various content to create the perfect lesson for my students.  I will chronicle my discoveries on this blog.  It's not nearly as simple as switching out stenciled fashion accessories, but it is definitely just as much fun.

Question to Ponder:
What was your favorite toy growing up?
Do you see any connections from your childhood preferences to your career choice?
